"…. where the sea lions kiss, so the story goes. Its amazing shows and friendship cove. Everyone looooooves Marineland!" I wish we would’ve had time to go to Marineland. I always have that song stuck in my head!

Well we didn’t get to go kiss any belugas, but we spend the day near the Falls and Clifton Hill area. This isn’t an outfit I would normally blog, but we were in front of Niagara Falls so of course I had to take a few photos. I’m usually pretty good at packing. But not so much this time. Instead of packing in outfits like I usually do, it seems I packed just random items. And I didn’t even pack any jeans. These are actually my “back up” jeans that I keep there. So yeah, I was pretty bored with my options.

But that is neither her nor there, because the day was definitely not boring. We played mini golf, laser tag, had ice cream, and played some arcade games. It was a gorgeous day. I love Niagara Falls!

Down At The Pond

On wednesday of our week at home, Boo and I went to my Dad’s for lunch. If you saw my engagement photos post a few weeks ago, you may recognize the place. My dad has a couple ponds, a cabin, and a lot of woodsy areas, and I love to go down there and take pictures when we visit. He is also busy building his own sugar shanty, and plans on having it finished this fall. New photo spot, maybe?

Rain, Laziness, and Sequence

The entire first half of our trip home was pretty rainy and blah. But on tuesday, after lunch with my stepdad, we managed to sneak in a few outfit photos in between the rain. And thats about all we did - lunch, photos, and then we sat on the couch the rest of the evening. There was some pretty intense games of Sequence going on, though. Exciting.

In My Life.... At Home Again

As usual, I have some instagram photos from our trip home to share with you. And I have quite a few this time……

The day we left, I packed while listening to some She&Him. And then we enjoyed a lovely 8 hour evening drive back to Buffalo.

This is how we party in the country :)

Just some randoms:

Me and my Kiki

a random photo of the Peace Bridge while driving through Buffalo

my favorite John & Mary’s sub for dinner

and a baby eating a cupcake.

We spent a day at Niagara Falls with my oldest friend Amanda and her boyfriend, Daniel. There was some mini golf and laser tag involved. Just sayin. And then we spent 1 1/2 hours in the immigration office at the border for a missing stamp on a certain Dutch man’s papers :)

(p.s - Snape waz here)

Haha, I guess we have a difference in opinion.

A Beauty Product Post

I thought I would do something different today, and give you a look at some of my favorite beauty products that I use. I’m still playing around with a few different products, but for now- this is my routine.

As far as skin care, I keep it pretty simple (I think, at least). I’ve been using Burt’s Bees for awhile, and absolutely love it.

MORNING

Clean & Clear Morning Burst I start out with this face wash. It feels good and really does wake me up in the morning.

Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato Toner - I especially love this in the summer. It cools me down.

Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Lotion - my face can get pretty dry, and I’ve never had a problem with this lotion feeling too heavy, or anything. Works perfect.

NIGHT

I start by removing any makeup with basic makeup remover pads (not pictured).

Burt’s Bees Radiance Night Creme - I’m not really sure if this does anything, but I like to think it does.

Burt’s Bees Radiance Eye Creme

I don’t really wear much makeup. Most days its just mascara, a little lip color, and a bit of cover up (if necessary). If I feel like it, I might do a little eye liner and color on my cheeks too.

Stila Cover Up Stick

Stila All Over Shimmer Duo - I like this because its 2 colors and I can use it on my cheeks or eyes.

Stila Eyeshadow - I used black eye shadow as eyeliner. I like a smudgier look.

Diorshow Mascara - I. Love. This stuff. Seriously, best mascara I’ve ever tried. I’ve used it for a couple years now, and I doub;t I’ll ever use anything different.

Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant - I have a dry lips issue. I feel like this stuff actually helps, and its minty!

Smashbox Lip Treatment - I’ve replaced my chapstick with this and I love it. Although I still use my Burt’s Bees chapstick sometimes.

Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick - I’m kinda new to lipstick (because of my dry, flaky lips), but so far I like this. The one pictured is Delightful (sheer berry). But I just got Legendary (true red) the other day and it both excites and scares me at the same time.

.

other items pictured:

The All Nighter Brown Hair Powder - I don’t shower everyday, and I use this powder to make my hair look a lot less greasy than it actually is.

Nina Ricci ‘Nina’ Perfume - So pretty. Both fruity and floral.

Tom’s deodorant - Confession- I bought this deodorant solely based on the fact the Linda uses it. True story. I was using Dove deodorant, but I was out. And when I went to the store for a new one, and was standing in front of all of them, I spotted Tom’s and recognized it from Linda posting it in her own beauty routine post. So I bought it. So thank you Linda, for influencing both my style, and the smell of my armpits.

EBEW: Pattern Mixing

worn on August 3rd, 2011

I love pattern mixing. Just love it. No, this isn’t the craziest mix ever - plaid and floral might be pretty simple, but I still love it all the same.

I picked this dress up at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. It reminds me of something I would’ve worn as a little girl in the 90’s around Easter time or something. Maybe it was - I’m pretty sure its actually a girls size.

Shop Update

Heres a sampling of the items I’ve added to the shop over the last few days. There are new bow and mini bow necklaces, as well as new designs - bunting and ruffle necklaces. I only a have a couple of these right now, but I plan on making more soon (as well as few other new things). So keep a look out in the next few weeks.

Felling Girly

worn on August 3rd, 2011

Look, I’m wearing two of the items I picked up at the recent Swap Uncapped! The sweater was a score- its cashmere and incredibly soft. And really, I only picked up the skirt for the floral print. But I’m glad I did- because it turned out pretty cute. I debated whether or not to hem it knee-length or shorter. But I’ve acquired a lot of longer length skirts this summer, so I thought I would go shorter with this one.
