Twenty-Six

zoo1

It’s my biiiiiiiirthday today! It’s also Earth Day. Which makes it my b-earth-day.

Boo and I spent this past saturday doing our semi-traditional birthday celebration - a visit to the zoo. I love a good themed outfit, so obviously I had to wear my new animal print crop top. I mean, come on. It only made sense. And my friends, the giraffes, told me they appreciated the sentiment.

Apple Of My Eye

This was a casual, weekend, errand - running outfit. Boo and I headed to Crompton Collective in Worcester (like we do every few weeks), to check up on my shopHollyDolly items there and re-stock anything that sold. And then, because I can’t leave that store without finding at least 10 more new things that I want, I bought a vintage dress. It’s super cute. You should see it. Wait… you probably will. Some day soon, I’m sure :)

Polka Dots In The City

I’m completely smitten with these pants. And this comfy outfit.

Over the weekend, Boo and I headed into Boston for a date night day. We wandered the streets and alleys of Beacon Hill (so adorable. can I live there now?), went to the science museum and played among all the tiny people, and then finished the day with a full DVR and a bowl of popcorn. It was a pretty successful day, if I do say so myself.

It is friday, my friends! Any plans?

Boo and I are starting our holiday week early, with a trip home to Buffalo ( and a mini trip to Cleveland!). I’m ready for turkey and stuffing, Tim Horton’s coffee, and kitty snuggles. Well, maybe the kitty snuggles. Kiki isn’t always the cuddling type…. until I force her to be.

Happy weekend!

Sequins and Scallops

I wore this on wednesday for Boo’s birthday.  Despite the flashy skirt, It was actually a really low-key day. After spending all day at work, Boo wanted steak for dinner. Sooooooo, we went out for a steak dinner. We then came home and had cupcakes, and went through all of our wedding photos (finally!!). Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Again

I know - I just wore these shorts, like, 4 outfit posts ago. I told you I really like them.

My hair was really frizzy and all over the place by the time I took these photos, and I was sweating profusely, But I really wanted to document this outfit. Proof that I basically haven’t taken these shorts off since I got them. I’m looking forward to fall as much as the next style blogger, but the day that it is finally too cold to wear them is going to be a sad, sad day.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you may have saw that I was torn between two pairs of Warby Parker frames. Well, tadaaaaaaa - I chose Sinclair. I think Sinclair and Winston are gonna be best friends.

Repeat Offender : Stripes, Bows, and a Purse I Didn't Know I Had

Untitled-2 Untitled-1 copy

worn on December 14th, 2011

To see what this repeat offender thing is all about - read my first post.

To see the first time I wore this - go here.

See that little purse there? Notice that I’ve been carrying it a lot lately? Well, it was actually one of those items that got left behind at my parents house when we moved out to Boston last year, but I rediscovered it when we were home for thanksgiving (yay!). At first, I thought I would sell it in my Smashion shop. But I’ve kind of become attached to it and can’t stop using it. So I don’t think this baby is going anywhere for awhile.

.

p.s- its the last day to enter the Shabby Apple giveaway! Don’t miss your chance, head on over and enter :)

Wanna know what Boo and I did this past weekend? At least I know my momma is reading and she wants to know (hi momma!). Well, we went to see the Lion Kind 3D. And I’m pretty sure we were the only ones in the theater without small children. But thats ok, because it was just as amazing as I remember. And I still got choked up when Mufasa died… shhhh

And then we headed over to Fajitas & Ritas for, well, fajitas. yuuuuuuuuum.
