Beachin

Please excuse the mess that is my hair. Itā€™s kinda hard to keep your hair looking cute on a windy beach. Even in a braid. But who cares, right? Iā€™m on the beach. Hands, down, favorite part of summer.

I've Got Pineapple On A Cloudy Day

pineapplebeach1

Second beach day in a week span. But Iā€™m not complaining :). This time around was a lot more cloudy, but it was rather quite nice. It was still nice and warm, but without the overwhelming, burning hot sun.

Iā€™m definitely looking forward to as many beach days we can possibly fit in these summer weekends. Who knows, maybe weā€™ll even squeeze one in this weekend, too :). It gives me a chance to wear all my swimwear that I went a little crazy with this year. I couldnā€™t help it - I am completely obsessed with the longline bikini trend going on right now! They are peeeerfect for covering up my sunken chest (and no, mine is not quite as bad as that wiki photo. But it does make me self conscious. So if I can cover it up without resorting to a tankini or one-piece, Iā€™m a happy girl!).

Seashells and Sweaters

Boo and I spend a lot of time lounging at the beach during the summer. But this weekend, we wondered what it would be like to wander in the sand, all bundled up, in the colder months. So we put on all of layers and headed out to Plum Beach to find out.

Turns out, itā€™s pretty fun. There are barely any people, and there are little treasures everywhere. We grabbed some coffee, and spent some time combing through all of the shells and driftwood scattered along the shore. And then I made Boo, who is usually behind the camera, step in front of it with me for some fun photos. He loves itā€¦.. I swear.

Plum Beach

I mentioned last week that posting has been a little sporadic because the moving process was kicking my butt. And, then, I caught a cold - which really kicked my butt. So when I started to feel the tiniest bit better on Sunday, Boo and I jumped at the chance to get out of the house and enjoy one last beach day of the season. It wasnā€™t the warmest or sunniest of days, but it was still the perfect beach day, nonetheless. We actually prefer a cloudy beach day - less people, and less sweating.

After a few hours on the beach, I buttoned up and tucked in my cardigan, and we headed into town for lunch (and pumpkin spice lattes). I swear, Newburyport is one of the cutest little towns. We will definitely make a conscious effort to head that way more often this fall.

p.s - you can see a few more beach outfits here.

St. Lucia, Part One - The Beach

I originally told myself that I would limit myself to only two honeymoon posts. But, do you know how hard it is to narrow down 300+ pictures into two short posts? Ridiculously hard. It was hurting my brain trying.

So Iā€™m not gonna even bother trying to narrow it down. For my own sanity. Instead, the rest of this week is dedicated to honeymoon photos, if you donā€™t mind. If you do, well, you should probably just step away and come back next week. Just sayinā€™.

First up, post 1/4 - the beach.

The beach! My favorite part! We spent 3 whole days relaxing, snorkeling, and eating delicious island tacos and sipping pina coladas on the most beautiful beach situated between the two Pitons. We kept wanting to go back. So we did. And Iā€™m still daydreaming about that view.

Seagulls and Stripes

IMG_5407

Boo and I ventured out to the beach this weekend. It wasnā€™t the most ideal beach day- it was a bit chilly and incredibly windy (hence the really stringy, gross hair). But it was practically empty, and therefore really quiet and peaceful. So we cuddled up under the blanket and gave names to the seagulls as they wandered about around us. There was Bob 1and Bob 2, and Frank, among others. Weā€™re real original with names, obviously.

Crane Beach

If you follow along with me on Instagram (lets be friends- my username is hollyjollydolly), you may have saw that Boo and I spent this past monday at the beach. April 16th - at the beach. Isnā€™t that amazing? It seemed so early. But since Boo had the day off, and the temperature reached near 90 degrees, we couldnā€™t resist. I canā€™t waaaaaait for more of these days this summer :)

Brighter Than The Sun

worn on July 31st, 2011

Over the weekend, Boo and I continued our beach adventures by making our first trip to the ever popular Crane Beach. It was sooooo incredibly gorgeous, and such a warm, relaxing summer afternoon.

My beach-wear seems to be getting more and more simple. Not that its a bad thing. But I started out with pretty pretty sundresses, and now Iā€™m already to shorts and an oversized tank. Oh well, its the beach!
