Happy first day of spring!!! As I mentioned yesterday, I could not be happier that we are one step closer to warmer weather. Winter is just not my season. At all. I absolutely hate winter dressing, actually. But as I squeal in excitement that I get to start dressing for spring soon, I also wanted to look back and realize I did have a handful of winter outfits that I didn’t hate.

I’m pretty fricken enchanted by this necklace. In fact, so is Henry kitty. So much so that he can’t help but want to steal and wear it for himself. Such a little fashionista, he is.
….Or it just really resembles a toy, when it’s swinging right in front of his face. That’s probably more like it. But I much prefer to picture him prancing around with it around his neck. Just him and his little horse-y friends.
P.S - don’t forget to enter the Loly In The Sky giveaway! only a few days left!

Seriously. I think it is pretty all the time, but this time of year is my absolute favorite. My favorite time to explore and enjoy this city. And Saturday was one of those days for us.
We walked around Beacon Hill (oh, the pretty buildings), laid a blanket out in The Common (oh, the people watching), took in all the pretty flowers (oh, all the colors!). And we even added a new little four-legged member to our family. Best.Day.Ever. But more on that tomorrow ;)

I love the simplicity and versatility of this top. When I first got it, I immediately dreamt up 6 or 7 outfits. Which is such a good sign! It will obviously have some longevity in my closet.
So, I decided to do a little remix post for you. I wore the first outfit to a bbq at a friends house, and then changed later in the evening for dinner with Boo. Granted, this clean white blouse is probably the last thing I should be wearing to a bbq where I’m stuffing my face full of burgers and hot dogs over a flimsy paper plate. But I’m proud to announce that I didn’t get a single drop on me! Phew.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday!
Boo made me wear this badge around all day sunday, and out to dinner yesterday. Not that I minded - I totally get into the whole birthday thing. I got to see my favorite giraffes, go on a mini shopping spree, and get candles in my dessert at restaurants. If I could, I would drag it out into a whole birthday week. But I don’t think Boo would go for that, unfortunately.

I always love knee high and thigh high socks on other girls, but have a hard time styling them myself. I guess thats why these babies don’t see the light of day very often. But I’ve pulled them out of hiding for a quick go at it, and I must say, I quite like what has happened here. Maybe I should give them a chance more often.

wedI got this dress over the summer during one of my visits to SoWa Market and Haberdash Vintage. I’ve been waiting patiently, for months, for the weather to cool down so I could wear it. And now I can and I could squeal! It’s one of the most perfect vintage pieces I’ve owned to date. I think I’m in love.

I mentioned last week that posting has been a little sporadic because the moving process was kicking my butt. And, then, I caught a cold - which really kicked my butt. So when I started to feel the tiniest bit better on Sunday, Boo and I jumped at the chance to get out of the house and enjoy one last beach day of the season. It wasn’t the warmest or sunniest of days, but it was still the perfect beach day, nonetheless. We actually prefer a cloudy beach day - less people, and less sweating.
After a few hours on the beach, I buttoned up and tucked in my cardigan, and we headed into town for lunch (and pumpkin spice lattes). I swear, Newburyport is one of the cutest little towns. We will definitely make a conscious effort to head that way more often this fall.
p.s - you can see a few more beach outfits here.
