Wedding Wednesday- Polka Dots

Its no secret that I love me some polka dots. And it’ll be a safe bet that I will be sneaking some in to my wedding. Probably just in some details though. Some ideas? well of course…..

There is also this polka dot dress on Modcloth that would make an adorable bridesmaids dress, but the site seems to not be working for me right now. Maybe I’ll sneak it in later.

Wedding Wednesday

I have a new obsession. And that obsession is Pinterest. Its amazing for organizing all of your inspiration- especially wedding inspiration. Its like a virtual corkboard. Now I can see my ideas all put together in one place. Its also a good place for finding new images/ideas. My favorites:

Amaaaaazing colors. Pretty much what I’m going for. I also stumbled upon a tutorial for making those circular lanterns. Perfect DIY!

How had I not thought to have a drink bar?! Lemonades, iced teas, fun straws. I neeeed a lemonade stand.

Its Wedding Wednesday

So last week I posted some dresses that were pretty, but not really me. Well, this week I’ll give you a little look at what I do like. A designer I absolutely love is Amsale.

Nadine

Seriously, this is my dream dress. This is exactly what I am looking for. I love Nadine.

Blakely

Liza

And for good measure, this one from Christos:

So basically, If it has big ruffles, bows, or fun fabric I’ll love it. I’m really just into something sweet, but whimsical and FUN. I actually have many dresses that I love, but there is just something about the Amsale dresses that I just keep going back to. And now you know.

Wedding Wednesday

Ok, so last week I was trying to decide if I wanted to try out a few new features other than just posting outfit shoots. I finally settled on Etsy Favorites Friday….. and Wedding Wednesdays. I’ll try it out for awhile and see how it goes.

As you may know, I recently got engaged. Even though we don’t plan on having the wedding until summer 2012, I’ve definitely already gotten addicted to l ideas looking at wedding online. Something that will come first before a lot of the other planning, and something I could look at for hours, is engagement photoshoots. I’ve seen so many fun ones, I can’t wait to have some taken this summer! Some of my favorites I’ve seen? …..

Day 27 - Blame It On The Rain

Worn on February 28th, 2011

sweater and tights: Anthropologie, dress worn as top: Forever21, skirt: American Apparel, wedges: Madden Girl

30 for 30 remix- day 27: I hate to mention this every time I have to take indoor photos, but I really hate taking indoor photos. I just don’t have anywhere near the proper lighting for them to look right. Blast. But it was raining kitties and puppies (or cats and dogs, if you prefer) and it would’ve been impossible to take outdoor photos.

So today I spent a little time putting together a quick inspiration board for the beginning of my wedding planning. It wasn’t hard - I’ve actually been collecting images and pretend planning this for years. I’m going for a fun, colorful, and playful feeling. But, do any of you know of any good wedding blogs/inspiration sites? I already follow Ruffled, Wedding Chicks, Once Wed, and Green Wedding Shoes

My Dear, Oh Dear

October 2nd, 2010

dress: Harkham (from at a boutique in the Bahamas)  cardigan: Anthropologie. heels: Bobbi Blu

Worn For: A family wedding. It was suuuch a nice day for an outdoor wedding! After days of rain, there was nothing but sunshine. I was originally going to hem this dress to knee length, but I think keeping it long was perfect for a fall wedding - it was warm in the afternoon, it did get cooler in the evening for the reception. So keeping it long kept me a bit warmer.

These heels were actually incredibly comfortable! I lasted all night in them - even through dancing - and still could’ve kept wearing them at the end of the night. I didn’t want to take them off.
