I wore this outfit yesterday. And now I’m wearing this outfit today. Because I like it. The end!
That was a really good story, wasn’t it?

I may have fancied it up for mine and Boo’s froyo date and for these pictures - but the bare bones of this outfit is just a simple tee and cutoffs. which is exactly what I have been living in lately. Tee and jeans. Basics.
Its amazing what a little collar and pretty cardigan can do to an outfit :)
cardigan: Anthropologie
tee: Express
collar: shopHollyDolly (similar available here!)
shorts: DIY
flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Not only is mine and Boo’s wedding sneaking up on us, but so is our honeymoon! Here are a few things I’m hoping to pack in my bag for our beach vay-cay….
clockwise from top left:
A big, floppy hat - like this one from Modcloth.
Pretty underthings.
Easy, throw on and go, flowy sundresses. I am totally in love with this one .
A fun new swimsuit. This one is from Delias.
Sandals for beach ready feet.
A big carryall that could double as a carry-on and a beach bag!
Like I mentioned yesterday, this past weekend was actually spent running errands and working on projects. But when Boo suggested we stop at the park for a picnic and outfit photos, I made sure to grab this hat. It makes me feel fancy. And feeling fancy is important when you are spending the majority of your days in oversized, paint covered sweatpants.
Also, I’ve had this tank for a long time. Since high school, actually. Sooooo, like, 7 years-ish? It’s from Hollister, which I hate. But it has bananas on it, which I love. So it all evens out in the end.
tank: Hollister (really, really old)
bow clip: shopHollyDolly (available here!)
skirt: Anthropologie - similar
hat: Target -similar
flats: Blowfish Shoes (won in a giveaway)
It absolutely down-poured on friday, but it lead into some gorgeous weather over the weekend! We originally planned on going to the beach, but then we realized just how many wedding projects we have to finish in the next few weeks - like the custom painted lawn corn hole seen above. So we chose to be responsible and stay home and get some things done.
But it wasn’t all bad. We did take a break for a little impromptu picnic, which gave me an excuse to still put on my floppy hat. And I still got to enjoy all my favorite summer treats, like smoothies. And froyo. And ice cream.
Even though it didn’t go as I originally planned, it was still a very successful weekend.
How was yours, my friends?
Ok, you can forget about what I said yesterday. I like this one. And really, I think it all comes down to the hair bow. Now I know - if I’m not feeling super great about an outfit, just add a bow. It makes everything better :)
tee: Modcloth
skirt: Urban Outfitters, Buffalo Exchange
bow: handmade
booties: Target
I’m feeling just kinda - eh - about all of the outfits I am putting on lately. I don’t necessarily hate them, but I don’t super love them either. I’m in a little rut, and I blame it on this gross weather we had this past week. Hopefully the upcoming sunshine will bring new inspiration. And hopefully a peek back at a few of my most favorite outfits from the past couple of weeks will help too. I guess we will see tomorrow if it works :)
Sooooo, we are now only a month away from the wedding. Eek! It is getting down to the wire, and I’m busy working on all the final little details. It seems there is new project to get done every day. A couple of the recent ones include spray painting sunglasses for the bridal party, and sewing up the cutest little flower girl outfit I’ve ever seen (if I do say so myself). Up next - signs, handmade lawn games, favor jars, escort cards, and tissue paper poms. Now, who wants to come help?
As I mentioned yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending a Boston Pops concert on saturday with a couple of friends. But it wasn’t just any Pops concert - it was The Pops featuring guest conductor John Williams. Ya know, the famous conductor, John Williams. Famous for Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Jaws, Superman, Indiana Jones, the Olympics, and so many more. It was absolutely fantastic.

You guys, this weekend was pretty great. For as rainy and cold and gloomy as it was, it was awesome. Lets see here - we picked up our wedding bands, found what will be our new apartment (yay!), saw John Williams guest conduct The Boston Pops, used our new pasta maker to make homemade pasta, aaaand ran errands and finished a few small wedding projects. Phew. All that in one rainy weekend! You can chalk that one up as a success, my friends.
.
**P.S - that awesome photo of me and Boo was taken by our friend Corey.**
He has an amazing camera and took some amazing pictures the night of the concert. And I didn’t. So I took a picture of a picture instead. ‘Cause thats how I roll.
