Repeat Offender : Stripes, Bows, and a Purse I Didn't Know I Had

Untitled-2 Untitled-1 copy

worn on December 14th, 2011

To see what this repeat offender thing is all about - read my first post.

To see the first time I wore this - go here.

See that little purse there? Notice that I’ve been carrying it a lot lately? Well, it was actually one of those items that got left behind at my parents house when we moved out to Boston last year, but I rediscovered it when we were home for thanksgiving (yay!). At first, I thought I would sell it in my Smashion shop. But I’ve kind of become attached to it and can’t stop using it. So I don’t think this baby is going anywhere for awhile.

A Few Things

Just a little update on whats going on with this little bloggy here, as well as my etsy shop.

………………………………………………………………..

First off, I wanted to streamline my blog and shop a little bit. I realized it could be a little weird and confusing that my blog was called HollyDolly, and my shop was just HollyDoll. I honestly don’t know why I ever even went with two different names in the first place.

So I’ve taken the step and changed my shop name to HollyDolly (or shopHollyDolly) to match the blog.  I’ve also changed to URL to http://www.etsy.com/shop/shophollydolly. But no worries, the old URL will redirect.

………………………………………………………………..

Well, I finally did it. I gave in and made a Facebook page for HollyDolly. You should head on over and hit the β€˜like’ button. No really, you should :)

………………………………………………………………..

Next order of business: sponsors.

Another step I’ve decided to take is to start accepting sponsors for the blog. A year and a half after my first post, this little baby of mine is growing. Slowly, but surely. I feel, as the new year approaches, it is the right time to bring this is in.

So, as of this moment I am accepting sponsors for January 2012. If you are interested in sponsoring HollyDolly, shoot me an email at HLKeenan22@gmail.com and I can provide you with all of the information. I am offering very reasonable prices, and I would love to work with you!

Lastly, don’t forget to enter the Shabby Apple giveaway! You have until Monday at 9pm EST to enter. So go now!

A Boston Blogger Holiday Mixer

IMG_1644

worn on December 11th, 2011

On Sunday I attended a cute little blogger mixer hosted at the LF store in Harvard Square. After meeting up with Jamie (A First Impression) and Sarah (Fadass), we headed to the store for some good old bloggy-girl fun. We styled up some LF clothing for a little photoshoot, decorated santa hats, drank some delicious hot cider, and had a little yankee gift swap. I was lucky enough to get some coffee cozies handmade by Sarah hereself! Score!

EBEW : Sparkle

IMG_1556

worn on December 10th, 2011

This months EBEW is sequins and sparkle. Surprisingly, I don’t own anything all sequined (say what?!). Oh wait, I do have sequined Converse All Stars. Whoops.

But I do also have tops that are blinged out a bit and have some sparkle. This counts, right?

DIY: Holiday Spirit

There were two holiday decorations that I knew I wanted to make this year: a tree skirt and our stockings. And with some 50% off fabric from Joanns, I did just that! I wish I could provide you guys with more of a detailed DIY. But to be honest, I kind of winged them both. I free handed some patterns without really measuring (which I wouldn’t really recommend, I just got lucky), and just worked by trial and error.

I’m super happy with the way they turned out. Especially the tree skirt - how cute is it with the little pom trim?!

**UPDATE** I may have been lazy, but Megan Nielsen just posted a super detailed (and SUPER adorable) stocking tutorial. See it here

Black & Blue

There are a handful of shows and movies that, if on TV, I HAVE to watch them. Like Armageddon and Titanic. I guarantee you - if I come across either of those movies in the guide, I won’t bother looking any farther. They suck me in.

Lately, its been Storage Wars. I.Can’t.Look.Away. And there seems to be a marathon on as I’m typing this. So I guess the rest of my day is shot, ha.
