Project ReStyle #2

worn on April 15th, 2011

You may not be able to tell from the before picture ( I really should’ve photographed it on me), but this dress was actually floor length and you could’ve fit 3 of me in it. It was huuuuge. So not only did I rework the shape and length, I also turned it all around so the little cheetahs were right side up. And cut out the orange leaf-y stripes. I didn’t like them. Overall, I like what it is now. It ended up being shorter than I originally planned, but thats what I get for cutting without measuring. And I guess thats what little lacey slips are for :)

I wore it for our friday date night. We went to the new Max Brenners on Boylston and got our butts kicked by all the yummy chocolate-ness. Soooo yummy.

P.S - don’t forget to enter the giveaway over at The Daily Fashionista to a bow tie necklace from my shop!

Anthropologie and Hockey

worn on April 14th, 2011

I recently received a 15% card in the mail from Anthropologie for my birthday, and you know I wasn’t going to wait long to use it. I ended up getting this sweater and skirt full price, and two more items on sale - but we’ll get to them later. Before now, my last few trips there have been…. eh. But I had handfuls of so many pretty things this time around! It was hard to narrow it down, But I’m pretty ecstatic with what I ended up getting. Happy (early, again) birthday to me!!

P.S - don’t forget to enter the giveaway over at The Daily Fashionista to win one of my bow tie necklaces!

Of course, I had to show some Sabres love. I actually show a lot more Sabres love on a daily basis than I show on here. But today is special. Its game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quaterfinals. Its playoff time baby!!! This is my playoff dance:

Everybody, Everywear: Maxi

worn on April 12th, 2011

Its that time again - EBEW time. This time around we’re going with the maxi dress/ skirt. I had plenty to choose from, but I was pretty excited to break this one out. I got it awhile ago, but wanted to wait until I could wear it minus a cardigan. The back is so much fun, I wouldn’t want to cover it up!

Warm Weather and Creepers

worn on April 11th, 2011

You guys, it hit 70 degrees today- 70 degrees! I spent a lot of time outside… walking around the square, getting some Starboo (thats Boo talk for Starbucks), and making some money at Buffalo Exchange after cleaning out my closet. And then the rest of my afternoon was spent relaxing on our porch on our new patio set with my ipad.

Thats where things got weird.

I take a lot of pictures in semi-public places. But who would’ve thought the creepiest creepers would come around when I’m taking pictures on my own porch. Stopping to ask me what I’m taking pictures of, what kind of pictures I take of myself, how he can find my site, etc. Creeper.

For Boo

When we went to take my outfit photos yesterday, I had stolen the camera from Boo and snapped a few photos of him. When he saw my post, he looked at me with a sad puppy dog face and asked- β€œwheres my pictures?” Well here you go Boo… Your very own post.

Look Ma, No Tights!

worn on April 9th, 2011

O.M.G today is such a gorgeous day. Finally, some warm weather!

I have a love/hate relationship with the dress. I mean, its super duper cute. But when I wear it I always seem to have this problem with the buttons. That problem being that, sometimes with the slightest movement, they come undone. Thats right, without warning, I could be flashing everyone in the room. Since I’m wearing it tonight to a dinner at Boo’s Boss’s house, I figured a wardrobe malfunction would be incredibly inappropriate. So I was trying to figure out how else I could wear it, and I figured - why not wear it completely open? What do you think?

Back On Track

worn on April 7th, 2011

Phew. I took a few days off from outfit posts there, but hopefully I’m back on schedule! This was an outfit I meant to wear while I was home but never did. So I thought I would put it on for… a trip to the grocery store. I mean, you can never go wrong with leopard and red. No matter what the occasion. At least, thats my theory.

As you can see I’m sporting a spiffy new item in these photos. My birthday is still two weeks away, but I’m already carrying my THEIT Bossi bag, and typing this from my new ipad. Mwahahaha. I have the best fiance and parents in the world. But yes! My THEIT bag! Isn’t it fancy? It was sitting on my doorstep when I got back from the airport Wednesday, and I couldn’t wait to tear the box open. Its so purdy! I love it. You can bet you’ll be seeing a lot more of it.

My Trip Home

I’ve been a bad little blogger. I had every intention to keep up with blogging while I was home. I took home everything I need to take my photos and post. But day after day went by and at the end of the trip - I had no outfit photos. My bad. We will back to regular scheduled programming tomorrow. But I did take a few random photos with my nifty new ipad that I thought I would share!

1. Little Nevy - my flower girl. We went to the mall with her and she insisted on riding every one of these rides. And then when she was done with them - she wanted to ride the escalator. Over and over and over. Kids.

2. My kiki! She ignored me for the most part. As usual.

3. My favorite place on earth. HSBC arena for the Sabres game. And yay! We won!

4. Seesters!

5. It rained. It snowed. Thats right- snowed. Hey Buffalo - its April. Just thought you should know.

6. Tim Horton’s Iced Capp. So yum.

Wedding Wednesday- Polka Dots

Its no secret that I love me some polka dots. And it’ll be a safe bet that I will be sneaking some in to my wedding. Probably just in some details though. Some ideas? well of course…..

There is also this polka dot dress on Modcloth that would make an adorable bridesmaids dress, but the site seems to not be working for me right now. Maybe I’ll sneak it in later.
