Guest Post: Linda of Little Tin Soldier

Hey Everyone! While I’m away getting hitched and enjoying our honeymoon, I’ve asked a few friends to step in for me and keep HollyDolly alive and running.

Today we have Linda from Little Tin Soldier. Linda is the sweetest. And she has even had a part in my wedding planning (come back tomorrow for that)! But today, I’ve extended a virtual invitation, and asked her to come up with her best wedding guest outfit.

Hello, Holly Dolly readers! I’m Linda from Little Tin Soldier, and I’m absolutely tickled to be a virtual attendee at Holly’s wedding. Over the past couple of years, Holly has become my go-to crafting friend. She’s creative, sweet, and darling. I know she’s going to be a beautiful bride (a little bird might have shown me pictures).

Summer weddings are my favorite; they always include bright sunshine, pretty flowers, and cool treats. For weddings, keep your attire ladylike to ensure attention is focused on the most important ladyβ€” the bride! A polished sundress or a simple blouse and skirt combination in pastel colors work the best for me. I added a fun, handmade necklace because Holly loves arts and crafts, and the clutch easily holds a phone or digital camera for pictures.

Now, if we lived in England, I would top off the entire ensemble with an incredible fascinator, perhaps one with a little prancing pug and flowers. But instead of a crazy hat, I’ll bring along a sweet little card.

Congratulations to Holly and Zach!

Clutch Party

Remember mine and Linda’s clutch party? Well, we are all done! We’ve put away our needle and thread, our hot glue and fabric paint, and we are ready to share our creations with you all!

I stuck with a simple envelope design. And I was so in love with it… I made two! I have plans for a third, as well. Keep a look out the rest of this week for more looks at both versions, as well as a DIY on Wednesday!

Kayla’s origami clutch has to me one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. And it requires no sewing! She has a full tutorial over at her blog - Freckles in April.

How cute is this little zipper clutch by Kim, of Kimbercrafts?! I love her handmade felt flower embellishment. TOO cute. You can see more of her version here

Kyla, from Blue Collar Catwalk, came up with this easy and fun double clutch DIY after she saw a similar version at Target. Clever, no?

And, last but not least, the talented Linda transformed this vintage canvas clutch into a colorful and unique accessory with just some paint and some patience :) Absolutely brilliant!

Thank you, all, who joined in with us for this little party. I hope you had fun, and will join us in any future crafting adventures!

A few Bedazzlers

Here we go! Heres the final products from our little BE DAZZLING party:

Linda turned a simple sweatshirt into something adorable with fabric flowers, ribbons, and and a few rhinestones for a little sparkle. Didn’t it turn out just gorgeous?

Jessica from Monster cakes went all out. She not only dyed her hoodie from the original grey, and then sewed on the toggles, hearts and patches herself. Cutest thing ever

C’est moi. I kept it really simple with some sparkly rhinestones and fabric glue. I originally wanted to go even bigger with the bow, but I ran out of rhinestones. Oops. You can see the rest of my outfit and more on the sweatshirt on Monday

Join us... and be DAZZLING!

I have something so fun to share with you guys! Linda, of Little Tin Solider, and I have been dreaming about bedazzling some plain old sweatshirts for a while now. Why not jazz up those plain old sweats and have a little fun while doing it?

Well, we want YOU to join us.

A little bedazzling party, if you will. All you have to do is email one of us a photo of your sweatshirt by August 26th. Or, if you’re a blogger, post your snazzy new outfit on the 26th and send one of us the link! Have fun!!!
