These photos are from back around Thanksgiving when we were back in WNY. But, ya know, it's December and getting close to Christmas. And who doesn't love some good winter wonderland photos?
FALL SNAPSHOTS
SNAPSHOTS : FALL THINGS
SNAPSHOTS : CAMPING // ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, ME
Boo and I spent a few days this past weekend up in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, ME. We hiked, did some night kayaking in bioluminescent water, and even got a night of camping in! We actually picked the perfect weekend for it. Perfectly clear sky for star gazing, and a fall chill in the air at night (but not too cold).
I'll share some more photos from the rest of the weekend soon!
SNAPSHOTS : GEORGE'S ISLAND
Happy September, friends! I hope your long weekend was filled with sunshine and good sales.
While it mat be the 'unofficial' end of summer, I'm not ready to give up on it yet! We still have plenty of warm and sunny days left, and I plan on taking full advantage of them. Something Boo and I have never done, in the 4 years we've lived in Boston, is take the ferry out to any of the Boston Harbor Islands. So this weekend, we did just that! We explored George's island, which is home to civil war-era Fort Warren.
Prepare yourself for photo overload...

SNAPSHOTS: PROVIDENCE, RI

It’s easy to forget sometimes that Providence is just an hours drive away from Boston. It’s so close! And we’d never been. So we decided to take a mini weekend getaway for the 4th/our anniversary. It was SUCH a good weekend, you guys. We did so much. I’m just gonna leave it here in bullet points. If you are ever in Providence, I would recommend every single one of these things! So, we:
» explored Brown University in the rain. What a pretty campus!
» got up close in personal with the State House.
» visited the RISD art museum and got lost for a couple of hours.
» satisfied our food truck love with Radish for lunch (delicious), and Haven Brothers for late night milkshakes.
» sat along the Providence river, soaking in the sunshine and the city view.
» stumbled upon the cutest cafe, Cable Car, that has a little theater in the back with love-seat couches for seats. We watched A Hard Day’s Night!
» grabbed some to-go pizza’s from Pizza Pi-er, layed a blanket out in the park, and listened to a free concert put on by the Providence Philharmonic Orchestra. And then finished it off with some fireworks, of course!
» visited the Roger Williams Park and the Roger Williams Park Zoo. You guys, we fed giraffes! My life is now complete.

SNAPSHOTS : NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND

For Memorial Day this past Monday, Boo and I headed to Rhode Island for a fun little adventure day. We started out kayaking in Kingston, and then headed to Newport where we walked along the cliffs edge and explored the town (which obviously included ice cream cones and boat watching). I really loved Newport and all of it’s charm, and hope we can explore it more in depth soon! We’re also thinking about visiting Providence sometime this summer too. Any suggestions?

SNAPSHOTS: NIAGARA FALLS, ON

You didn’t think I’d take a trip to Niagara Falls, and not post any photos of the falls, did you?! It doesn’t matter how many times I see it, or from how many different angles, I can’t help but always take a million pictures.
I realize now that I don’t have any of the American falls posted here. While Boo is more of a fan of the American falls because of all the rocks below, I much prefer the Canadian Horseshoe falls. And well, I had the camera… :).
