Turkey Day And Little Facts

IMG_9571

worn on November 24th, 2011

This is what I wore on Thanksgiving day. Ta-daaaaaa.

Ok, now its time for a three little facts link up with Rebecca

Photobucket

Turkey Day : I don’t mind turkey and traditional thanksgiving day food. But its not my favorite. After having turkey and all the fixins’ earlier in the day, our second thanksgiving day meal was smoked venison. Yummmm. I like the untraditional!

Ninja Turtles: I LOVED the ninja turtles as a little kid. I mean OBSESSED. I was a very very shy kid, and didn’t talk much. But I could tell you everything there was to know about those turtles.

Music: This one time, at band camp…. just kidding :) But I did go to orchestra camp all throughout high school, so I guess thats the same thing. Nerd.

from the top…

Oy, another 8 hour drive to Buffalo. I tried to keep myself busy by editing photos and and queuing up posts on the go. Until I shorted the fuse in our pluggy-thing. Awesome. But it got better when the very first thing I did when we got into Western New York was get some Tim Horton’s coffee. Nothing says home like some Timmy Ho’s.

Most of my week at home was just spent relaxing. I spent a lot of time in my pajamas and lounging around with Kiki. Even Thanksgiving was low-key. Dinner at my dads and then tv time with the brother.

And the best way to finish off a week at home - A Sabres game, of course!

On My Wish List This Year

Are any of you out Black Friday shopping today? I can’t handle it. I’m more of a Cyber Monday shopper :)

Heres just a peek at a few things I am wishing for this Christmas:

1. Another iphone case. I adore this Kate spade one. And this JCrew one.

2. Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens

3. Big, comfy, cozy sweaters. Like this one.

4. A pair of black leather boots - I think I’ve decided on these DV ones!

5. Aaaaah, an Epiphanie camera bag. Because I take my camera with me everywhere these days. And one camera bag isn’t enough :)

6. Oh my goodness, Isn’t this teddy bear hat just the cutest?

7. I’m obsessed with Terrariums. Seen here and here

8. I think these iphone/Ipod docks are so cool! Blends right in on the bookshlef :)

I will forever and always love Chris Carrabba. He is the one band/musician from high school/college that I haven’t grown out of. And I probably never will!

Three Little Facts, Round 2

worn on November 11th, 2011

I seem to be having another one of those days with nothing to say. So instead,  today I will link up to Rebecca’s (of Rebecca with an R) 3 little facts.

hockey: So, everyone knows by now that I’m a hockey fan. But did you know that I’m in 4 different fantasy leagues? Its an addiction.

nickname: In high school, my friends called me little seagull. It started when we exchange students in France. All the other hosts family gave my friends huge lunches - 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, multiple snacks. But I would only get a bowl of rice and tomatoes and a little water. So after everyone was done eating, I would go around and pick at all of their leftovers. Like a seagull invading your picnic.

lost: Speaking of France - while we were in Paris, I got separated from the rest of my class. I was lost in a foreign country. True story.

In My Life : Sabres and Other Things

Things that happened this weekend:

I had one of those days on friday where I pretty much didn’t move off of my spot on the couch. Day - photo editing, coffee, and Grey’s Anatomy reruns. Night - save the dates, sheep slippers, and the Sabres game. Same spot, just different activities.

I was in a very Sabre-y mood this weekend. At different times I sported both my 80’s bomber jacket and my customized All Stars.

It was also a build a fort in the living room type of weekend. Completed with wings and buffalo chicken wing dip while we watched yet another Sabres game.

driving: I don’t have a drivers license. I never have, actually. Driving scares the living daylights out of me, and I never made it past my learners permit. Boo seems to think that one day, when we have kids, I will have to get my license. I say - hire a driver.

high school: I never played any sports as a kid. None. I’m completely uncoordinated. I was, however, a member of Art Alive, an editor of Yearbook Committee, and secretary of my  senior class.  And I played viola in our school orchestra.

heritage: I’m part Lebanese. But mostly Irish. And also German.

In My Life : NYC

Happy friday, everyone! I’m back from my trip to NYC for wedding dress shopping, and I thought I would share just a few snapshots of what we did:

(L) This is NOT my dress. I repeat: this is NOT my dress. No one is going to see that one until July ;). But it is one that I tried on. I was really digging the fabric texture and detail. Sorry, this as close as any of you are going to get to seeing my dress or any of the other ones I tried on.

(R) I’m not just saying this because I’m a Daniel Radcliffe fan - How to Succeed in Business was absolutely brilliant. And I would recommend anyone see it (preferably before Dan’s run is over).

(L) With my seester and momma out to dinner!

(R) A visit to Mood Fabrics (oh, how I missed them) to find fabric for my headpiece/veil.

(L) Ooooooooh, my favorite new york bagel with pumpkin cream cheese. I have dreams about this bagel, people. I cannot go to NYC without stopping to get one. Reminds me of my time at FIT :)

(R) A rainy train ride back to Boston.
