My Favorite Colors

worn on March 27th, 2011

I’ve really been loving red lately. I didn’t have a whole lot in my wardrobe, but I seem to have acquired quite a bit these last few weeks. New favorite color? seems like it. It might have something to do with my wedding planning. I’m going with a lot of reds and yellows. And some blue. And bows and stripes. So basically what I’m wearing is completely reflective of my wedding style haha. In a casual, weekend-wear kinda way, of course. I didn’t realize that. How silly.

Wedding Wednesday

I have a new obsession. And that obsession is Pinterest. Its amazing for organizing all of your inspiration- especially wedding inspiration. Its like a virtual corkboard. Now I can see my ideas all put together in one place. Its also a good place for finding new images/ideas. My favorites:

Amaaaaazing colors. Pretty much what I’m going for. I also stumbled upon a tutorial for making those circular lanterns. Perfect DIY!

How had I not thought to have a drink bar?! Lemonades, iced teas, fun straws. I neeeed a lemonade stand.

Things I Love

March 26th, 2011

Lately I’m really loving: 1. my new Spotted Moth Doctor Doctor Bag, and 2. my Seychelles heels from Modcloth. I actually got these shoes for christmas. But seeing that It was a snowy, muddy hot mess these last few months, I was careful not to wear them. Now that it is a bit nicer I don’t want to take them off! Obvs, seeing as I’ve worn them twice in the last 3 posts.

These photos were taken in Boston. At first we weren’t going to do anything saturday except lounge around and watch movies. But then Boo turned to me and asked if I wanted to go to H&M. Um, YES PLEASE.

A Pretty Little Scene

March 25th, 2011

This skirt is one of my first vintage purchases from The Garment District in Cambridge. Its not something I would usually go for, but there was something about this scenic little print that I couldn’t resist. And being the length that it is, I originally was going to wear heels. But when I got dressed, you know, it just wasn’t a heels kind of day. But thats ok, because I think the oxfords look quite nice.

I wore this to run some errands and then have our friday date night dinner with Boo. Lovely evening :)

And don’t forget to enter Kelsey’s giveaway where you can win the bow tie necklace of your choice from my shop! Its open until tomorrow night, so go enter

Oh, and thanks Boo for noticing that one sleeve was shorter than the other. Geez, so incompentent. (KIDDING!)

A Very Windy Day

Worn on March 22nd, 2011

It did not look this windy out my window. You see, I had curled my hair on Tuesday. Curled it good. The perfect, just wavy-enough look that I always wanted. And then I stepped outside….. into a wind tunnel. Oh wells, maybe next time. Now, enough complaining.

This is the Marc Jacobs top that I mentioned I picked up at Buffalo Exchange last week. My instinct was to pair it with black skinny jeans and a cropped black cardigan. But then I saw these pants sitting there. And surprisingly, the bright colors of the top looked pretty good with the army green. Or at least I thought it did. What do you think?

Oh yes! One more thing…. You know Kelsey, right? Well if you don’t, you should go check out her blog- Snappy Casual. She is super adorable. AND - she is hosting a giveaway of a bow necklace from my shop. The winner can choose which one they want, and its open until tuesday. Head on over here to enter!

Its Wedding Wednesday

So last week I posted some dresses that were pretty, but not really me. Well, this week I’ll give you a little look at what I do like. A designer I absolutely love is Amsale.

Nadine

Seriously, this is my dream dress. This is exactly what I am looking for. I love Nadine.

Blakely

Liza

And for good measure, this one from Christos:

Lydia

.

.

.

So basically, If it has big ruffles, bows, or fun fabric I’ll love it. I’m really just into something sweet, but whimsical and FUN. I actually have many dresses that I love, but there is just something about the Amsale dresses that I just keep going back to. And now you know.

Oh, Hey New Bag

Worn on March 20th, 2011

I really need to stop taking pictures in the middle of the day. I need better lighting. Washed out and shadow-y is so not cool.

Anyway, I was so excited to get this bag! Its a ombre doctor bag i ordered from Spotted Moth. I’m thinking about doing a little DIY and turning the inside into a camera bag. Hmmmmm, stay tuned.

I think I burped right before this picture was taken. β€˜Scuse me.
