New Love

IMG_4845

I swear, when I ordered this dress/top, it said it was a dress. But something tells me I couldn’t get away with that.

But thats ok - because it just so happens that I have re-discovered my love for leggings for this upcoming fall. So it works out perfectly. And I haven’t re-fallen in love with just any leggings, I’ve fallen in love with shiny rubber leggings

Who woulda thought?

Never Ending Summer

cropped

I’m torn.

You see, I’m really into all of the fall talk happening lately, and excited about the idea of breaking out a new wardrobe for a new season.

…..But I also never want summer to end. EVER. It makes me sad, actually, that it will be coming to a close soon.

So,  I’m going to be rocking my cropped tops and short skirts while it lasts, hoping summer never ends, and worrying about layers and cold weather when it comes.

Errands

shabby

The last time I wore this skirt was on my honeymoon (seen here and here), and I mainly wore it as a beach cover-up. This time I wanted to dress it up, so I could feel fancy while running errands.

Well, not really.

Unless you consider a basic knit tank fancy, which apparently - I do.

But the point is, I rather like feeling like the fanciest person at the post office and farmers market. And Starbucks, too. My errands always includes a Starbucks stop. Obvs.

Lust List: Booties

booties

It seems everyone is starting to get into the fall state of mind. And, even though I never want summer to end, I’m finding myself looking forward to next season as well.

One of my favorite parts of my fall wardrobe are my booties. And I don’t want just any ankle booties this year. I want booties that scream "hey! look at my shoes!!". Because who doesn’t like a pair of shoes that can do all the talking for you?

Tea Party

IMG_3027

I had an absolutely splendid weekend. I traveled to Albany to help throw and celebrate my bestie’s bridal shower. It was a lot of work, but the final product was a gorgeous and quirky feminine tea party (with a few llama touches thrown in there). Of course, hats were a requirement. So when I saw this hat, with the giant Blossom flower, hanging in a window, I knew it would be perfect.

Again

blue1

I know - I just wore these shorts, like, 4 outfit posts ago. I told you I really like them.

My hair was really frizzy and all over the place by the time I took these photos, and I was sweating profusely, But I really wanted to document this outfit. Proof that I basically haven’t taken these shorts off since I got them. I’m looking forward to fall as much as the next style blogger, but the day that it is finally too cold to wear them is going to be a sad, sad day.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you may have saw that I was torn between two pairs of Warby Parker frames. Well, tadaaaaaaa - I chose Sinclair. I think Sinclair and Winston are gonna be best friends.

Fancy Casual

chiffon

I kinda, sorta love this outfit. I just can’t get over the fancy/casual combo. Pair a basic tee with a pretty chiffon skirt, and you can’t lose. The only thing that would make this better would be if the skirt was more of a fuller, tutu shape.

Great, now I feel the need to buy a tutu.

The Weekend

stripes1

Our beach plans got foiled this weekend. So instead, we went furniture shopping, made popsicles, and worked on various projects. What does one wear for such a simple weekend? An easy tee dress and a scarf to cover up that greasy hair, of course. Because, who showers on the weekend, anyway?

Wait, that’s just me? Oh.

………….

P.S - crisis averted… I have a working lens now. Phew, that got scary for a minute.
