IN MY LIFE

Β» I usually post β€˜In My Life’ posts on Fridays. But I didn’t have one last week, and I have a special Valentine’s Day post scheduled for this week. And I have A LOT to share. So Tuesday it is. It’s getting crazy up in here.

Β» Attention Boston Bloggers! I’m honored to be guest curating this round of Blog Better Boston’s {hub}LINKS! The theme is β€˜handmade’. So submit any DIYs, recipes, favorite handmade finds, etc. Or even show some love for your favorite handmade businesses! Submit here, and I’ll be picking my favorites after 2/18. So get those links in!

Β» Have you heard of StyleUp? It’s a really cool daily email that sends you the weather forecast for the day, as well as an outfit inspiration photo to match said weather. And hey, if you live in a climate similar to Boston, you may see me in your inbox every now and then :)

Β» Oh hey look - I was in a Buzzfeed list. Too bad it links to a pin, and not my actual post.

Β» Last week, Boo made chocolate truffles. AMAZING. He’s pretty good in the kitchen, that one.

Β» This cat acts as a keyboard prop as his owner works on the computer. So funny.

Β» I’ve been trying to remember to also upload my outfits to Modcloth’s style gallery. See my gallery here (let’s be friends). And see me featured in one of their blog posts here

Β» Treasury love : one, two, three

Β» I love Madalynne’s list of 2014’s Best Sewing Blogs. Although I don’t concentrate on sewing with this blog, it is still a pretty big part of my life. And I read a lot of sewing blogs. This is spot on, and even introduced me to a couple of new favorites!

Β» A few things on my wish list : this roomy bag, this  floral dress, this pretty kimono, and this bell sleeved sweatshirt

Continuing my obsession with crop tops, I present you with my outfit that I wore the Blog Better Boston: Style Summit. I’ve had this outfit planned out since  before I even had this skirt made up. And it worked out just as good in real life, as it did in my head.

Now, I was a bad little blogger and deserve a slap on the wrist. I barely took any photos at the event. I know. Not cool. I was just too busy mingling and chatting with all the other lovely Boston bloggers to realize I had my own blogging duties! Please forgive me. But at least I had my iPhone permanently attached to my hand the entire day, so I did manage to get a good number of Instagram photos.

But I seriously had a blast the entire day. I met some new blogger friends, caught up with Julie from Orchid Grey, met Tieka from Selective Potential, won a dress from Lulu’s, and learned awesome new stuff that I can’t wait to put to work here. Isn’t it amazing that after almost 3 years of blogging, there is still so much to learn about it?!

Thank you Amy, Alana and the rest of the Blog Better Boston and Boston.com teams for putting on such an awesome event!

Recap: LOFT [Prudential] Grand Re-Opening

loft1

Last Thursday, I was invited to co-host the LOFT grand re-opening event at Prudential Center. Alongside Emily, Amy, and Alana, we mingled with customers, offered styling advice, and took way too many Instagram photos (in true blogger fashion). Oh, and there were music and delicious cocktails. So.Fun.

The store looked impeccable, and the clothes were the cutest. Seriously, I’m not just saying that. I spent some time before the event trying on a bunch of different outfits, and I wanted them all. In fact, I think I might be going back for a few more items (shhhh, don’t tell Boo).

Thanks to the LOFT and Blog Better Boston girls for such a lovely evening!

P.S - I didn’t get any proper outfit photos (seeing as I picked it out just before the event started). But trust me - I will definitely be repeating this outfit.

Oh, and did I mention that there will be an Instagram contest where you could win $250 to LOFT? Yeah, pretty awesome.

So come on down and hang out with us! Hope to see you there!

What I Wore: Blog Better Boston

Here we go - what I wore to the conference this past saturday. I’m really happy with what I put together, and it actually may be one of my favorite outfits as of late.

I actually picked this top up at Buffalo Exchange just two days before. I wasn’t going to at first, seeing as I already have a polka dot problem. But I couldn’t resist. And I’m glad I didn’t!

In My Life - Blog Better Boston

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the first (hopefully annual) Blog Better Boston conference. We Bostonians finally got a little taste of all the fun all of you have at TxSC :)

The conference was absolutely fantastic. I honestly learned quite a bit, and came away with pages of notes from each session. You may notice some changes around here soon. They’ll be subtle, but I definitely have plans!

There were also plenty of other memories. I discovered some sweet new glasses from eyefly.com, made some new friends, laughed my butt of as Jamie DIY failed her BBBos tote, and mourned the loss of my cupcake (rip little cupcake).

Thank you SO MUCH Amy and Alana for putting on such a great event. I Can’t wait to see how fun we can have next year!
