Hey There Sports Fan

January 20th 2011

sweater: Gap via Buffalo Exchange, shorts: Express, tights: Urban Outfitters, shoes: Steve Madden

Worn For: The Sabres are in Boston tonight! So you know what that means - obligatory sabres outfit post. I haven’t worn a Sabies outfit in awhile, so its about time. No, those are not two toned tights, I am actually wearing two different pairs. Don’t ask how, but some how I managed. Lets just say if I were to lift up my sweater, you would see the other two legs tied around my waist. And now I am realizing just how weird that is. Preeeeetty crazy, I am.

Now, I am off to the game, which means I will be missing the big swap. Boo. But I will be seeing my babies play. Yay! And yes, this is what I am wearing to the game. Minus the heels (I have a no heels at hockey games rule). So add some boots and a jersey, and you got my game outfit!

Lets go Sabes!!!!

Day 30 - Yeah Thats Right, 30

December 7th, 2010

sweatshirt: vintage (ebay), pants: Gap, scarf: Anthropologie, socks: U.O, flats: Chanel

30 for 30 remix- day 30: So, going through my photos for my remix round-up, I realized something. On day 18 I documented 2 different outfits to make up for a missed day, but never counted it. So actually, this post is my 30th outfit. I’ll prove it to you in the round up tomorrow. My bad. I didn’t intend for my last outfit to be all Sabre-ized. I expected it to be more glamourous. But I was caught off guard and didn’t realize I was wearing the last outfit. But hey, It is actually pretty fitting. The Buffalo Sabres basically rule my life.

I only posted the first photo to prove that I was wearing a 30 item on top. I actually wore my jersey over top all day and then to the game at night. I should probably point out that the game was in Boston, not at home in Buffalo.  A little much? not possible.

Oh, and we lost. Boo.

Day 18 - Two For One Special

November 26th, 2010

Sabres tee and hat: Sabres Store, blue shirt and skirt: Forever 21, coat, gloves and tights: U.O, black tee: Gap, headband: Anthropologie, boots: Miu Miu

30 for 30 remix- day 18: I wore two outfits yesterday. One I wore during the day to hang out with the fam and stay cozy, and then I changed into the second to go the Sabres game (with my jersey over top of course). I just changed up the order of the layers on top, and changed from the skirt to jeans.

I was having a lot of fun with these photos. It was fricken freezing but the snow falling was so pretty. I was laughing in almost all the photos from the second set. I had my brother take them and he was really getting into playing photographer. It was pretty hilarious, let me tell you.

Oh, and p.s - the Sabres won! woo hoo!!!!

Day 10 - Oh Look, Another Sabres Outfit

November 17th, 2010

tee: Sabres Store, yellow shirt: JCrew, pants: Gap, wedges: Mix NO. 6

30 for 30 remix - day 10: It was incredibly windy today, which did not make pictures easy. And I have this hilarious picture of a man walking by and me realizing he was there just as the photo snapped. It’s pretty funny, maybe I’ll post it later.

Yellow, blue, yellow, blue - It’s in my blood. I love my Sabres, and its also fantastic that their colors are so awesome. It makes incorporating fan apparel into everyday outfits very easy. But really, the star of this outfit is my one accessory. It’s a little embarrassing, but you guys, I have a confession (see last photo)…..

My name is Holly. I am 23 years old. And these are my silly bands.

And now you know.

Day 4 - Sabre-ized

November 11th, 2010

sweatshirt: vintage (ebay), yellow shirt: JCrew, jeans: Gap, sunglasses: U.O, hair clip: Anthropologie, purse: Fossil, flats: Chanel

30 for 30 remix challenge - day 4: I was so happy when boyfriend came home from work super early today - because he could take my pictures! I don’t have a tripod or a remote, so when I take my own picture everyday its propping the camera up on whatever I can find, constantly pressing the button, and waiting for the timer. Its annoying.

But anyway, its another Sabres game night! woo hoo! Plus - perfect just sweatshirt (no coat) weather, and a comfy day. So that’s how I arrived at this outfit.

When boyfriend got home, we took a trip to Best Buy so he could get his PS3 ( It should’ve been for a tripod and clicker, but whatever), and made dinner together. I worked a little on my projects, and now we are getting ready to watch the Sabres game! And now you have the minute by minute update about my day. Enjoy.

And hey, if you are a Sabres fan, check out my Sabres tumblr

sunglasses: U.O, scarf: Antropologie, cords: Gap, flats: Moschino Cheap and Chic

Worn For: Well, this is what I was wearing around the house - as it was a game day. But then my boyfriend and I decided to go out and do a little shopping and I didn’t feel like changing. Threw on some adorable flats and warm scarf, and it was good enough for me. Its very bright and colorful. And I like it. I told you there would be a lot of sabre- centered outfits.

Old School

October 20th, 2010

tee and scarf: Gap, jeans: BCBGeneration , jacket: vintage - ebay, wedges: steve madden

Worn For: Just another day - running errands and such. It was a game day! Now, the Sabres had been in a bit of a slump (eek), but I was feeling good this day - so I pulled out my favorite 80’s satin bomber jacket for good luck. And p.s - it worked! Awesome game. But yeah, my sister got me this jacket on ebay for christmas one year and I loooove it. It is so 80’s its fantastic. And I maaay have broken my rule of no heels with sabres attire, but a jacket doesn’t count right? At least its not a jersey…

Oh yes, and I started a new Sabres blog! Goosebumps. Check it out maaaaaan.

Buffalove

October 9th, 2010

cardigan: C&C California, t-shirt: Celebrate Buffalo, skirt: American Apparel, tights and sunglasses: U.O, purse: Coach, sneakers: Converse (customized)

Worn For: My favorite time of the year has started – hockey season!! My beloved Buffalo Sabres are back in my life and I’m ready to show off my buffalove. Yes – even my sneakers are sabre-ized. I wouldn’t normally wear sneakers with this outfit, but we went to a corn maze and pumpkin picking today and I wanted something comfortable and that I wouldn’t mind getting dirty.

p.s - be prepared for a lot more Sabre/blue & gold themed outfits
