Looking Back

I only just started this blog this past July, but I thought I would still take a look back at some of my favorites for each of these past months.

Goldenrod

December 30th, 2010

skirt and tights: Anthropologie, sweater: Express, scarf: Target, boots: Frye

Worn For: A day of shopping with christmas gift cards. So, we were chasing the sun when we went to take these pics. And all my usual go-to spots at home now have 8-foot piles of snow in them. So middle of the road it was. Not exactly glamourous. One of my goals for 2011 is to be better about taking pictures for this blog. And more sewing - more crafting, more etsy-ing.

So yeah, I spent the day shopping and got some pretty cool stuff for some pretty amazing deals. I got a pair of pants for $5 at Urban Outfitters. … I know!  I can’t wait to share some of my new stuff with all of you soon.

The best part of the day was later in the evening. Boo and I made dinner and then settled onto the couch to enjoy our new Netflix account (also a christmas present). What did we choose to watch for our first time using Netflix? Hey Arnold episodes, of course. Perfect night.

More From Christmas

Cousin Love

brother (L) Boo being silly stranded at the rest stop (R)

Boo got me one of those cool mini polaroid cameras for christmas. It is so much fun to play with!

Sorry I haven’t had a new outfit post in awhile - things have been hectic and I’ve been preoccupied. But more will come later this week!

Stranded

December 25th, 2010

sweater: Gap, skirt: Anthropologie, tights: Target, boots: Frye, coat: Urban Outfitters, necklace: christmas present from me momma :)

Worn For: Well, I am writing this post at 11:37 at night from a rest stop somewhere on I-90. Yeah, we got stranded in the big blizzard. Major booooooooooo. Sleeping in the car/rest stop the night after Christmas? Not fun.

Anyway, this is what I wore Christmas day. Christmas day is incredibly hectic, but still a lot of fun obviously. We have 3-4 places to be so there is a lot of running around which can get tiresome. But we saw a lot of people, ate a lot of food, and got some pretty nifty gifts :). It was great to be home. I have some photos that I thought I would share later. Or maybe tonight. We’ll see how bored I get sitting here…..

Have a HOLLY Jolly Christmas

December 23rd, 2010

tee: Gap, cardigan: JCrew, necklace: Marc by Marc Jacobs, skirt: Urban Outfitters, headwrap: Antropologie, tights: Target, boots: ?

Worn For: Not much, really. Just relaxin at home. We had plans to go out, explore and find someplace really cool to take these photos. But it was cold. And we were lazy. So driveway it was. haha :). I won’t be around tomorrow so just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Blending In

December 22nd, 2010

sweater: Express (men’s), scarf: Urban Outfitters, skirt: ?, tights: Target

Worn For: I feel a bit messy in these pics, so please excuse me. This is what I wore for the 8 hour car ride home yesterday. I’ve decided that I will always wear a maxi for that trip. Always. It is like wearing pajamas. Terra at Stylish White Female and her all white ensemble encouraged me to pull this skirt out. Who says you can’t wear white this time of year? It is 2010.  Problem is, waiting to take the photos until we got home meant blending in with the 8 feet of snow we have here. But you still get the gist.

And don’t forget, you can follow this blog with bloglovin’.

First Snowfall

December 20th, 2010

sweater: Express (men’s), scarf: Target, skirt and headband: Anthropologie, coat, tights, and gloves: Urban Outfitters, boots: Frye

Worn For: I wasn’t going to take photos yesterday, but I took a look out the window and we finally had snow! Not much - just a light dusting, but I was excited. So I ventured as far as our porch steps to take some photos.

Looking at this, this is  definitely my essential winter outfit. I love everything about it. First off, It is (again) my favorite color combo. Probably because it reminds me of home and our beloved Sabres. But either way, I will never get sick of blue and yellow. On top of that, throw in my new favorite winter wear - a big cozy sweater (again stolen form Boo’s closet), a fuzzy scarf, and leather boots to keep my toesies warm. I live in only boots for about 4 months out of the year. So be prepared. And then, to top it all off, a cute little girly bow in my hair makes it very me. Hi, I’m Holly :)

Can I love in this outfit?
