» Last weekend, along with some other Boston area bloggers, I got a chance to do a really fun photoshoot with Vizio Optic. In other words, I got to play model and wear some really adorable glasses and sunglasses. I’ll be sharing those photos soon!

» You guys, I’m that cat lady now. My cat wears a leash. I’m both ashamed and amused. 

» It’s rainy. Which makes me reeeeeally lazy today. In the battle of sewing/ jewelry making vs. watching a lot of TV…. TV is winning. Ugh.

» You guys, summer has been crazy busy so far. And there are no signs of it slowing down. Last weekend, we enjoyed a perfect summer day on Cape Cod, which ended in the most hilarious failed attempt at beach camping. And this weekend, we have some friends here visiting to romp around the city with us. On top of that, we still have multiple weddings, photoshoots, events, meet ups, and adventures still to come. Its non stop! But I’m not complaining :)

» Summer farmers markets are the best. The end. 

» I just bought this red jumpsuit and am anxiously awaiting for it to arrive. As long as the fit is good, you can definitely expect to see it around here soon in all its glory.

» Boston bloggers- are you attending the newest Boston Bloggers Soiree next month? I still have to double check that I’ll be around that day (that darn busy summer schedule), but I’m hoping to make it, and I’m hoping to see you there!

» As I mentioned at the beginning of the week, Boo and I spent a looooot of last weekend in the car between Boston, Buffalo, and Cleveland. There was a bridal shower, a bachelorette party, fireworks, catching up with friends, rain, sunshine, delicious pancakes, a one year anniversary, baby Liam cuddles, fishing, bonfires, s’mores, family time, and way too many photos of the sky from the car. Phew, that was one jam-packed weekend. 

» Speaking of our belated anniversary, we’re taking a short trip up to Vermont this weekend, and I am so excited! Three years we have lived in MA, and we have yet to travel to other parts of New England.  

» How cute is this overalls dress?! This purse, too. 

» You may have noticed that I haven’t had any Design Diary posts to share with you. If you follow Megan, you’ve probably seen that she has decided to take a step back from the shop right now. Which also means that she will be slowing down with the blog too (read Megan’s post here), and therefore I won’t be working on any more projects. Boooooo :(. But I still am sewing a lot, and hopefully I’ll start sharing those projects more here on HollyDolly!

» This week has gone by super fast, which is weird seeing as not a whole lot has been going on. I’ve been working on some sewing and crafting…. and that’s about it. I told you it’s been super exciting.

» Things have been a little quite around here. Nothing crazy going on. Just life. It’s summer time and I’m ready to enjoy it! I’m talking beach weekends, afternoons on the river, and lots and lots of ice cream.

» Boo was out of town for a couple of weeks, and I’m glad to have him back. Me and Henry were a little lonely without him. I also had one of my BFFs visiting last weekend. We soaked up the sun on the beach, spent way too much money at SoWa, and worked on some of her wedding projects. The weekend went by way too fast!

» Speaking of SoWa, we discovered Stern Design Works' jewelry and quickly became obsessed with them. I did purchase a necklace for myself, so I'm sure you will be seeing it around here soon. 

» Something new added to my wishlist : these wedges. Get in my closet, please!

In My Life

Sorry I ended up being MIA this week. I have a good excuse, I swear. And that excuse is the little face you see up there in all those photos. I took a mini trip out to Kansas City for a few days to see my sister and my little man, Liam. 

The last time I saw him, he was only a few days old. Now, he holds my hand (kind of), is a big fan of his own feet (and his thumb), and can sit through an entire dinner out without crying (too much). Oh, and he still reeeeeally loves his puppy sister’s kisses. I know, the cuteness is a bit overwhelming.

» It was Cascade week on Design Diary! I’ve done tutorials, and shared a full outfit. Head on over to see it all, and I’ll share some photos here on Monday. 

» I’m starting to realize what having a kitten means - my arms and legs are starting to look like his personal scratching post. Oh, baby Henry.  

» Boo and I have a new favorite go-to weekend activity : kayaking and canoeing on the Charles. We’ve headed a few times towards the outskirts of the city, where it’s quieter. But next time we want to try it right from Boston. I’m sure the city views will be amazing!

» A few more items to add to my summer wishlist : this top, this dress, and these sneakers (yep, I said sneakers. How unlike me. But they are polka dot, so I guess that makes sense).
