Rebel

sparkle1

I wore this out last week for date night with Boo. We went all rebellious and had dessert for dinner. I’m talking chocolate mousse, peanut butter pie, ice cream sundaes, and white hot chocolate. Yes, we had all of that. For dinner.

But the craziness stopped there. We were home by 7, with our butts on the couch, picking our favorites in a fantasy hockey draft. I know - exciting. You don’t have to tell me :)

Merry and Bright

pink5

I’m a big fan of red. And white. So it’s funny, that when picking out a party outfit around the holidays, I gravitated to the most non Christmas-y colors I could possibly pick.

II guess I’ve just been wearing so many neutrals and deeper colors lately, That I was craving a some bright colors. Plus, this dress is the softest, and fuzziest lace-type fabric I’ve ever felt. It feels cozy, which makes up for the summer-like colors.

eShakti

When I received this dress in the mail from eShakti, I was immediately excited to put it on. And it didn’t disappoint! My only regret is that it is not warm enough to wear without a cardigan or jacket, and therefore the gorgeous embroidery detail gets covered up. C’est la vie.

Anyway, have you heard of eShakti? They sell adorable dresses, skirts and tops that can be customized to your exact measurements, so you get the perfect fit. You can even customize the length, neckline and sleeve design. And all for very reasonable prices! This is my second eShakti dress (my first one was won in a giveaway), and I can honestly say that the custom fitting is definitely worth it. A good fit can make all the difference!

Errands

shabby

The last time I wore this skirt was on my honeymoon (seen here and here), and I mainly wore it as a beach cover-up. This time I wanted to dress it up, so I could feel fancy while running errands.

Well, not really.

Unless you consider a basic knit tank fancy, which apparently - I do.

But the point is, I rather like feeling like the fanciest person at the post office and farmers market. And Starbucks, too. My errands always includes a Starbucks stop. Obvs.

Love Hate

Untitled-1 copy

I’m not usually a dresses over jeans type of girl. But it was way too cold to wear this breezy, swingy dress alone. And I’m refusing to wear any more tights this season. So jeans it was. And you know what, I don’t hate it.

How do you feel about dresses over pants?
