You Can Stand Under My Umbrella (ella.ella.ella)

worn on May 17th, 2011

Its still raining. But I’m getting over it. And atleast this outfit is better than the last one. I can still wear real clothes when its raining. I can still wear real clothes iwhen its raining.

Blame It On The Rain

worn on May 16th, 2011

It has been raining a lot. Thats why I didn’t have an outfit post for you  yesterday (at least thats my excuse). When it rains, I instinctively resort to jeans and hoodies, and its not pretty. But I see in the forecast that its supposed to continue to rain for another 12 years. Or at least the rest of the week - but thats close to 12 years. So I guess I need to suck it up, put on some real clothes, and take some pictures.

I had a lot of very silly photos from this shoot. Mainly because of this lollipop I found in my coat pocket.

It was a strawberry shortcake Dum Dum. Because I know you were wondering.

Opinions and Decisions

worn on May 13th, 2011

Boo came home early from work, so we headed off to get some flowers for planting. Horray!

Soooo, I actually wear glasses on a regular basis. But I’ve become obsessed with my big, fake nerdy glasses. Only problem- I can’t see when I wear them. Now, you’ve all seen or heard about Warby Parker by now. They are the new go to for cheap prescription hipster glasses, and I’m totally jumping on board. I pretty much knew which ones I liked the best as soon as I tried them all on, but I’d like to know what you think! Please excuse the not-so-pretty picture. I was already in my pajamas.

So we have….

Wiloughby … Winston

Colton … Pierce … Huxley

Everybody, Everywear: Floral

worn on May 9th, 2011

Its that time again - time for another EBEW. This time around was easy. There is definitely no lack of floral in my closet. The hard part wasn’t finding a floral item to wear, the hard part was picking which one to wear. So I figured it would be a good time to debut my Tucker for Target dress. I was a little late to the game with these GO International stuff. And when I got there the blogger Tucker dress (you know which one I’m talking about) was all sold out in my size. But I spotted this little number and I was equally as thrilled.

P.S - I think my obsession with my fake nerdy glasses is growing. Is it time to order my 5 trial pairs from Warby Parker for some real ones?

P.P.S - I ordered myself some “Kristine" Seychelles shoes. I will always think of her when I wear these :)

Over The Weekend

worn on May 7th, 2011

This is me trying to dress up slouchy jeans and a t-shirt. Is it working?

I ended up wearing this to run a bunch of errands saturday. Boo got his hair cut, I picked up some stationary supplies, we grabbed lunch, got caught in the rain, and got some groceries. It felt like a simple, but dressy kind of day.

P.S - this isn’t my house, but i’ve been taking pictures in front of it an awful lot lately. Is that creepy?

Aaaaaawkward

May 6th, 2011

These were the least awkward photos I could find out of the bunch. You see, I didn’t take into account just how many people would be on the path at that time of evening when I said “hey, lets take my photos on the bike path on the way to the train. I don’t care if a few people stare- we’ll save time.” Yeah…. a few people. When we started taking them I became very aware of how many people were not only walking towards me staring at me, but also walking up behind me. Half the pictures, if I didn’t have an awkward look on my face, was of me turning around to see how close people were to me. Haha, ok - lesson learned. Not a comfortable photo spot for me.

Oh, and I finally got me some new nude pumps! yaaaaay.

Oh, and P.S- since I won’t be posting tomorrow… happy mommy’s day Mommy!

Swapped, Part Three

worn on May 3rd, 2011

This is the third and final item Kathryn sent me for our swap. Its actually a dress. But, as I quickly mentioned monday, I had an unfortunate lapse of judgment involving this dress and an iron. It still makes me upset to think about it, so we’ll just leave it at that.

But I’m still incredibly happy with the way this outfit came out. I mean, it makes just as adorable of a skirt as it does a dress, right? You can’t not feel awesome wearing this. Its light, colorful, springy. And its one of those skirts that makes you wanna twirl with every step.

Don’t forget to check out how Kathryn styles my items over at Kitsune-kun !
